उस्ताद अमजद अली खान ~ राग भैरवी

In January 1994 Sama Arts and Navras Records presented a morning concert of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (Sarod) accompanied by Sukhwinder Singh Namdhari (Tabla). This conert recording was done at an art gallery venue (Kufa Gallery) in London. Our Technical Director, Kirit Baxi recorded this Concert and managed to produce the quality of the sound and ambience that is truly remarkable and does huge justice to an outstanding performance by the Maestro. The combination of all these aspects resulted in this album, featuring Raga Bhairav, first half of the concert, being included among the Top 50 World Music Albums for 1996 by the BBC Music Magazine, a first for an album of Indian Classical Music! Here we present excerpts of the morning Raga Bhairav.
