Trina Chatterjee is an enterprising versatile vocalist in the style of Hindustani Classical & Light Music. With culturally rich 'Bong' roots she has been singing for All India Radio since the age of 15. Chala Maahi Des is one of the lesser known Bhajans of Meera Bai. This 16th century verse is imbued with the characteristic selfless devotion for the Lord that Meera is acclaimed for. Lyrics: Chala wahi/maahi des, Preetam pawa, jalaan wahi des Kaho kusumal saari rangawa, kaho tho bhagawa bhes. Kaho toh motiyan maang bharaawa, kaho chhitkaawa kes.

Baaje Karuno Shure is one of the many gems from the repertoire of Rabindra Sangeet. It sends chills down one's spine every time it is played. It is set in Raga Simendra Madhyam, a Carnatic raga. Piya ke Awana is a beautiful Thumri-Dadra in Raga Mishra Khambaaj (Khamaaj). The poetic voice is that of a woman who is waiting anxiously for her beloved's arrival. A single thought of him stirs her soul. At a deeper level, it is about a devotee's feelings towards God.

Barsan Laagi Saawan Bundiya' is a Dadra within the Thumri genre from the Patiala Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music. It is based on Raga Mishra Pilu and has also been used in the movie, Halla Bol. The original composition of 'Barsan Laagi' is accredited to Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and his brother Ustad Barkat Ali Khan. The poetic voice is that of a woman who is yearning for the one she loves. The drops of rain make her restless in the memory of her beloved.
