சலாமத் அலி கான்

Salamat Ali Khan (12 December 1934 – 11 July 2001[4]) was a Pakistani vocalist and touring artist known for his contribution to the Hindustani classical music.[5] Widely regarded as one of the greatest classical singers of the subcontinent,[6] he was active in music industry, particularly in classical music after the partition of the Indian subcontinent, however he earned his recognition before migrated to Pakistan. In 1969, he appeared in Edinburgh Festival, leading him to earn international recognition.

Pt. Girija Shankar Chakrabarty was born at Behrampur, West Bengal on December 18, 1885. His father Bhavani Kishore was a lawyer from Mymensingh. Talented in music, acting and painting, he began his study in a music school founded by Radhika Prasad Goswami with financial assistance from the Nawab of Kasimbazar.

Pandit ShankarRao Ganesh Vyas (23 January 1898 - 17 December 1956) was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He learnt music from Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar. He was brother of Narayanrao Vyas. He was a sitar player, too. He composed music for Hindi, Marathi & Gujarati movies.

Pandit Suresh Haldankar (18 December 1926 - 17 January 2000) of Goa was introduced to music by his family elders. Very early in his youth he excelled as an actor-singer in Marathi musicals and was offered a position in the Mahesh Natak Mandali of Pune. His initial musical mentors were Pt. Bapurao Ketkar and Pt. Govindrao Tembe, both senior musicians of the Atrauli-Jaipur school. Haldankar later took training under the Agra Gharana master, Pt. Jagannathbuwa Purohit (“Gunidas”), and still later, from Pt. Ganpatrao Dewaskar and Agrawale Ustad Anwar Hussain Khan.
