Very few people leave an indelible impression in our lives through a personality that is forceful, yet amiable, dominant yet graceful and, principled yet flexible. Such a personality was Vidushi Dipali Nag. In those days when women singers from cultivated homes were almost a rarity, she stood out as a source of inspiration because of her entry as an educated girl into the world of true professionals, pioneering the spread of Classical and semi-classical music among the ladies.

సరోద్ మాస్ట్రో విదుషి జరీన్ శర్మ-దారువాలా

A musical prodigy from the age of four, Vidushi Zarin Sharma nee Daruwala (9 October 1946 - 20 December 2014) is a celebrated sarod maestro. Her gurus are Pandit Haripada Ghosh, Pandit Bhishmadev Vedi, Pandit Laxmanprasad Jaipurwale, Pandit V. G. Jog, Dr. S. C. R. Bhat and Padma Bhushan Dr. S. N. Ratanjankar. Zarin ji possesses a rare command over this enchanting instrument and has a distinctive individual style. She plays with great finesse and her mastery of the instrument is rooted in a thorough understanding of it and years of dedicated practice.

ವಸುಂಧರಾ ಕೊಮ್ಕಲಿ

Vasundhara Komkali (1931–2015), popularly known as Vasundhara Tai, was an Indian classical musician and one of the leading exponents of the Gwalior gharana, an old Khyal tradition of Hindustani music. She was the wife of renowned musician, Kumar Gandharva,] and was a recipient of the 2009 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2006, for her contributions to Indian classical music.

ಶಾನೋ ಖುರಾನಾ

Shanno Khurana (born 1927) is a noted Indian classical vocalist and composer, from the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana of Hindustani classical music. A disciple of the doyen of the gharana, Ustad Mushtaq Hussain Khan (d. 1964), she is known for performing rare bandish and raag, though her singing style includes genres like khayal, tarana, thumri, dadra, tappa, to chaiti and bhajan. Born and brought up in Jodhpur, she started singing on All India Radio in 1945 in Lahore, later shifted to Delhi, where she continued her singing on All India Radio, Delhi and in concerts and music festivals.
