Vocalist Vidushi Malini Rajurkar

Vidushi Malini Rajurkar (born 7 January 1941) is an Eminent Hindustani classical Vocalist of Gwalior Gharana.

• Early life :
She grew up in the state of Rajasthan in India. For three years she taught mathematics at the Savitri Girls’ High School & College, Ajmer, where she had graduated in the same subject. Taking advantage of a three-year scholarship that came her way, she finished her Sangeet Nipun from the Ajmer Music College, studying music under the guidance of Govindrao Rajurkar and his nephew, who was to become her future husband, Vasantrao Rajurkar.

Vocalist Shri. Gandhar Deshpande

Born in Bhandara, Maharashtra now settled in Mumbai, 25 year old Gandhar Deshpande is a powerhouse of talent. He commenced his musical training at the age of five. His first gurus were his parents, Pandit Dr. Ram Deshpande and, Smt. Archana Deshpande, both vocalists and experts in Hindustani music; he is further honing his skills under the able guidance of Pt. Dr. Ram Deshpande for Gwalior, Jaipur, and Agra Gharana gayaki by ‘Gurushishya Parampara’, from past 15 years.

Sitar Maestro Vidushi Mita Nag

 Mita Nag (born 2 January 1969), daughter of veteran sitarist, Pandit Manilal Nag and grand daughter of Sangeetacharya Gokul Nag, belongs to the Vishnupur Gharana of Bengal, a school of music nearly 300 years old. In terms of lineage, Mita is the sixth generation sitar player in her family, the tradition having begun with her fore fathers. Mita born in 1969 was initiated into music at the tender age of four. Her tutelage under her father started at the age of six. In 1979 in the International Year of the Child, she appeared for her debut performance at the age of ten.

Amir Khusrau biography

Abul Hasan Amir Khusrau was a prominent poet, singer and musician living near Delhi around the fourteenth century. Khusrau is considered to be the first popular poet of Hindustani Khariboli. By whom? They are known for their riddles and tricks. He was the first to mention his language Hindavi. He was also a Persian poet. He was sheltered by the Delhi Sultanate. The list of his texts is long. At the same time, their history is important as a source.

Vilayat Hussain Khan

Ustad Vilayat Hussain Khan (1895–1962) was an Indian classical singer and teacher belonging to the Agra gharana (singing style).

Vilayat composed bandishes in many ragas under the pen name "Pran Piya".

Training
Vilayat Khan received his early training in Hindustani classical music from his father Nathan Khan. After his father's death, he was trained by his uncles Kallan Khan and Mohammad Baksh. He was also trained by the renowned musician Faiyaz Khan (Aftab-e-Mausiqui) or (Sun of Music).
