Classical Vocalist and Musicologist Pandit Omkarnath Thakur

Pandit Omkarnath Thakur (24 June 1897 - 29 December 1967), his name often preceded by the title Pandit, was an influential Indian Educator, Musicologist and Hindustani Classical Vocalist. He is famously known as "Pranav Rang", his pen-name. A disciple of Classical Singer Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar of Gwalior Gharana, he became the principal of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Lahore, and later went on become the first dean of the music faculty at Banaras Hindu University.

Pandit Arun Kashalkar (born 5 January 1943) is a very well known name in Hindusthani Classical Music circle. For more than 3 decades, Arunji has mesmerized audiences with his scintillating performances.

Initiated into the field of Indian classical music by his father, the renowned musicologist and teacher Pt. N. D. Kashalkar, Pandit Arun Kashalkar later received training from Pt. Rajabhau Kogje and Pt. Ram Marathe. Then stalwart vocalist and violinist of Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra gharanas, Pandit Gajananrao Joshi guided Arun Kashalkar for several years.

Tabla Maestro and Guru Ustad Amir Hussain Khan

The doyen of the Farrukhabad gharana, Ustad Amir Hussain Khan (October 1899 - 5 January 1969) was the true embodiment of Indian culture. Born in a village called Bankhanda in Meerut District of Uttar Pradesh in October 1899, he was initiated into music by his father when he was six years old. His father Ustad Ahmed Baksh Khan was a renowned Sarangi maestro who was brought to the Nizam of Hyderabad's durbar from Meerut.
