Dr. Suhasini Koratkar (30 November 1944 - 7 November 2017) was the senior most exponent and the Torch Bearer of the rare style of the Bhendi-Bazar Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music. She was a disciple of Pandit Tryambakrao Janorikar, the leading exponent of the Bhendi-Bazar Gharana. She was reputed artiste of Thumri-Dadra, representing the special style of the veteran Thumri Artiste Vidushi Naina Devi.
She passed away on 7 November 2017 in Pune due to the prolonged illness.
On her Birth Anniversary, Hindustani Classical Music And Everything pays rich tributes to the Legend and are very grateful for her contributions to the Indian Classical Music. 🙏💐
