Todi, also known as Mian-ki-Todi (Miyan-ki-Thodi), is a very common morning rag. However, there is a certain disagreement as to its structure. According to some, all seven notes are used in both the ascending and descending structures; according to this approach, this rag is sampurna - sampurna. Others suggest that the Pa is absent in the arohana but present in the avarohana; according to this approach this rag is shadav - sampurna. Here we are presenting the sampurna - sampurna version. There is also disagreement concerning the vadi and the samvadi.

Vidushi Malini Rajurkar (born 7 January 1941) is an Eminent Hindustani classical Vocalist of Gwalior Gharana.
• Early life :
She grew up in the state of Rajasthan in India. For three years she taught mathematics at the Savitri Girls’ High School & College, Ajmer, where she had graduated in the same subject. Taking advantage of a three-year scholarship that came her way, she finished her Sangeet Nipun from the Ajmer Music College, studying music under the guidance of Govindrao Rajurkar and his nephew, who was to become her future husband, Vasantrao Rajurkar.

Sarod Maestro Padma Bhushan Ustad Haafiz Ali Khan
Ustad Haafiz Ali Khan (1877 - 28 December 1972) was an Indian Sarod Maestro. He was a tall figure in twentieth-century sarod music. A fifth-generation descendant of the famous Bangash Gharana of sarod players, Haafiz Ali was known for the lyrical beauty of his music and the crystal-clear tone of his strokes. The occasional critic has, however, observed that Khan's imagination was often closer to the semi-classical thumri idiom than the austere dhrupad style prevalent in his times. He was a recipient of the civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan.
