Hello friends, Raag Hameer belongs to Kalyan Thaat as both madhyams (Shuddh M and tivr m) are used in this raag. Stress is given on D (by singing it with grace note N). D is also vaadi swar, i.e. it will be sung and displayed most in the raag. G is samvaadi swar, next in prominence after vaadi swar. G is a part of most of the swar patterns. We use G and D as 'Resting notes' during swar vistaar. When is tivr m used? This question has been answered in this video. The bandish in raag Hameer is 'Dheet langarva main kaise' set in Teen taal (16 beats). The taans have been sung in fast as well as slow speed.
