Born in the family of traditional legendary musicians, Apoorva Gokhale has carved a niche for herself as one of the sought after well-known vocalists of the younger generation with a firm background of Gwalior Gharana. She has an impressive musical lineage and has proudly and responsibly inherited the musical qualities from her grandfather, the late Gayanacharya Pandit Gajananrao Joshi and her great- grandfather Pandit Antubua Joshi, an eminent court musician in the erstwhile state of Aundh, district Satara.

Pandit Vishwanath Rao
Born on December 6, 1922, Pt. Vishwanath Rao Ringe aka Late Acharya Vishwanath Rao Ringe was an eminent Hindustani Classical Music vocalist and composer who hailed from the Gwalior Gharana. He was popularly known as 'Acharya Tanarang', as he composed nearly all of his bandishen under the title 'Tanarang'. He composed more than 1800 bandishs in about 200 ragaas, for which he has been enlisted in Limca Book of Records.

Mallika-e-Mauseeqi Roshan Ara Begum (1917-1982), daughter of Ustad Abdul Haqq Khan and cousin of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan, from whom she took training in Hindustani music for 15 years. She migrated to Pakistan in 1948.
Ustad Barkat Ali Khan was the younger brother and disciple of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali. He was known more for his Thumris and Ghazals. After the partition of India, he too migrated to Pakistan. He is known to have trained the noted ghazal singer of today, Ghulam Ali Khan.
